Expungements / Habitual Offenders
Circuit Court Petitions in Northern Virginia
Expungements Petitions
If you have been charged with a crime in Virginia and had your case dismissed (by a finding of not guilty, by on order of nolle prosequi or dismissal), you may be able to get the record of your arrest sealed or expunged. Even if you were never convicted of a crime, your arrest may still be on your record. An expunged record usually does not have to be disclosed and an arrest or dismissal that has been expunged is erased in the eyes of the justice system.
Habitual Offender Petitions / DWI Third Petitions
If you have been determined a Habitual Offender, then in order to have your driving privileges restored, you must a file a petition in a circuit court. This is also true in a case of an individual found guilty of a DWI Third or Subsequent Offense. While individuals may choose to file these petitions themselves, sometimes the assistance of an attorney will improve your chance, because the attorney will know what recommendations to make prior to filling the petition.
Take the responsible step and contact my firm of Thomas B. Haddock, Attorney at Law. I can explain the necessary petition and represent you in any court appearances that you may have to make. Whether you are seeking an expungement or the restoration of your driving privileges, my firm can help you find the answers you need.
